ACRE is bringing Australia’s leading digital educator, Tim Gentle to our town for Beechworth’s inaugural Digital Maker Week in October (16-19th Oct).

As part of the Digital Maker Week program we will be delivering the following sessions:

Digital Taster sessions: 150 students from all four local schools in Beechworth are participating in a Digital ‘taster’ session. These one hour sessions are designed to introduce students to augmented and virtual reality technologies.

Community Presentation: Tim Gentle presents ‘Top Technology trends you need to know about’. This session is for parents, business owners and general community members – don’t miss out!

Thursday 19th October 6.30-8.00pm: $10 per person, $5 concession

Digital Crusaders program:  Create your own augmented and virtual reality stories through this practical four day experience. This program is for budding digital film makers (15 to 21 years) and focuses on augmented and virtual reality script writing, filming, video production, editing and screening.

The Digital Crusaders program will take place at the Old Beechworth Gaol and will be delivered over four days:

  • Monday 16th Oct: 12-3.00pm
  • Tuesday 17th Oct: 9.30am-1.30pm
  • Wednesday 18th Oct: 9.30am-1.30pm
  • Thursday 19th Oct: 9.30am-3.00pm & 6.30 – 8.00pm

Cost: $320 per person
